Electrical Test Engineer ? Hardware Systems

What to Expect:
As a Test Engineer in Electrical Systems, you will be responsible for developing, building, and executing test solutions for our next generation electronic controls and lighting systems. Your work will primarily focus on new product development and execution of ongoing test programs to support continuous learning and enhancement of our products. Our R&D team is looking for a hands-on, talented, and enthusiastic electrical engineer to join us.?
What You?ll Do:
- Design, develop, validate, and implement programs (including hardware and software) to test electrical hardware — Figure out how products will fail and collaborate with design engineering for improvements.
- Design and build custom test equipment such as test PCBAs, harnesses, and fixtures.
- Develop and maintain automation-focused test software.
- Manage tests from set-up through execution.
- Work with design engineering and suppliers to determine root causes for test failures and determine corrective actions.
- Plan and conduct experimental, environmental, operational, and stress tests on product systems.
- Write test plans and test reports to support new product development engineering.
- Coordinate and manage product testing with outside agencies and Nationally Recognized Testing Labs (NRTL) as required.
What You?ll Bring:
- Bachelor?s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of abilities.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on hardware testing experience in power electronics (AC/DC) and low-power analog / digital circuits.
- Experience in PCB layout with signal integrity, noise, and EMI considerations (Altium experience a plus)
- Technical experience through previous internships, industry experience, passion products, extracurricular activities.
- Experience with modeling and circuit simulation tools such as MATLAB.
- Experience with test automation and data analysis in Python, LabVIEW.
- Knowledge in interpreting NEC, installation codes, and UL for electrical safety requirements.
- Experience with laboratory test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, high-voltage differential probes, current probes, data acquisition modules, etc.
- Experience in debugging and troubleshooting technical problems.? Curiosity to determine why something doesn?t work.

Expected Compensation:
$110,000.00-$125,000.00.
