Position: Business Analyst
Pay Rate: $60-$70 per hour
Duration: 10 Months
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (local or willing to relocate)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the definition, delivery, and governance of Investment Accounting data sets used across IBOR, Finance, and client reporting platforms. This role partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations to translate business requirements into clear, testable data specifications and ensure high-quality data delivery across systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and document requirements for core accounting data sets including positions, transactions, tax lots, valuations, FX, and unsettled activity
- Define data rules, mappings, lineage, and business logic; produce functional specs, data dictionaries, and acceptance criteria
- Profile source and downstream data, establish data quality checks, and support issue remediation
- Support SIT/UAT through test scenario design, data preparation, execution support, and sign-off
- Contribute to data governance standards and consistency across platforms and consumers
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of Business Analysis experience in investment accounting, middle office, or asset servicing environments
- Hands-on experience working with accounting data sets (positions, transactions, pricing, FX, tax lots)
- Strong data analysis skills (SQL or equivalent) with comfort working across large, complex data sets
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts such as accruals, cost vs. market, FX, and lot-level activity
- Experience producing clear documentation and working in Agile delivery models
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to Eagle Investment Accounting
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
- Experience on large, multi-year platform or data transformation program
