SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Director of Finance is responsible for the day-to-day management of all financial management and financial reporting functions for the organization.
Oversees the finance 
department including general accounting, payroll, accounts payable and financial analysis.
Additionally, this position will manage and oversee the purchasing and materials management functions for the organization.
The Director of Finance works collaboratively with other 
managers and senior leaders throughout the organization on matters concerning financial and operational performance.
This position is directly responsible for leading and supervising the

staff in general accounting, accounts payable and payroll.

• Participates in a hospital based initiative or committee to improve processes.
• Participates in the advancement / development of team members.
• Financial statement preparation, cash management, budgeting, financial analysis, tracking and reporting various statistical measures (e.g., volume, revenue, cost per unit of service, census data, staffing data and resource utilization).
• Maintain Fixed Assets schedules, analyze Construction-In-Progress accounts and maintain documentation.
• Contribute to revenue calculation and recognition process, analyzing payments, contractual and bad debt expense.
• Preserves resources; minimizes waste of materials.
• Ensures accuracy and timeliness of department output.
• Maintains confidentiality standards; does not share patient or employee information with anyone who is not directly responsible or authorized; obtains written consent from appropriate levels before acknowledging any information; maintains PHI confidentiality
standards.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
Must be accustomed to strategic thinking, business acumen, ethical conduct, technical capacity, and performance management.
An understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle is strongly

preferred.

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field is required.
Master’s degree and/or CPA is preferred.
Five or more years of experience in managing an accounting function in a healthcare
organization with $25M+ in revenue.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Twenty-four hour (24) behavioral health facility. Depending on position, the employee may be exposed to violent/aggressive behavior, blood/body fluids, and hazardous waste.
