As an IT Support Specialist you will be providing crucial technical support and advice, addressing hardware issues, as well as software and system problems. They manage inquiries via walk-ins, calls, tickets, and emails, quickly resolving computer-related issues by analyzing whether they originate from the network, a system, an application, or the workstation. If a solution isn’t immediately achievable, they escalate the matter to higher support levels. It Support Specialists also offer feedback to improve operational efficiency and must be adept at multitasking and adapting to shifting priorities. They utilize various diagnostic tools to troubleshoot, including network checks and understanding of operating systems, and IT related tools. Their duties also include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and fixing end-user issues involving hardware, software, and networking, as well as setting up and maintaining equipment, and developing training materials to ensure users are proficient with their technology
