Large electronics manufacturing company looking to hire an experienced and skilled Engineering leader to lead the new product development team.
The role requires both strong technical and people skills and a track record to back up both. You should be comfortable debugging in the lab, steering product reviews, and setting team goals and expectations. You?ll be responsible for both technical innovation and engineering process improvement — making the best products while improving the design cycle timing and efficiency.
What You?ll Do: ? Own the system level design of our next generation of products? through design, test, production, launch, and ramp
? Team build and recruit new talent to our team
? Drive engineering process improvements within the team
? Build positive team culture and maintain strong relationships with other internal teams — Production Engineering, Purchasing, Production Scheduling, Finance ? Drive prioritization and goals for the team
? Nurture the career growth and development of your team What You?ll Bring:
? 5+ years of electrical, firmware, or coding experience for product design.
A track record of taking multiple products to market.
Electronic and/or electromechanical systems preferred.
? 3+ years of management experience or experience in a technical leadership role.
? Bachelor?s Degree in the field of Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or other equivalent experience.
? Experience designing for high-volume assembly and manufacturing, experience in design for automation.
? Strong engineering fundamentals across a breadth of disciplines (printed circuit board design, EMI, power electronics, signal processing, mechanical engineering, thermals, optical design, electrical safety and regulatory).
All not required. ? Experience defining test plans, designing test setups, and analyzing data ? Experience designing products for outdoor environments, including IP/NEMA environmental seals
