Location: Bronx, NY

**Parking is $125-$200 month depending on location, if NOT taking public. We will NOT be comping for parking**

Employment Type:  Temp to possible perm, at least a 2 month assignment

Interview:  on-site at 188th St location with Nancy Spellman-DON – please see note for instructions
Pay: $24 – $26
Perm pay: starting $25 with minimal increases, typically .50 every few months. 

Schedule: Monday to Friday, hours can vary:

  • 8:45 – 4:45p
  • 9 – 5p
  • 9:30 – 5:30p

Deliver comprehensive, compassionate, and quality patient care. Under the direction and guidance of the nurse/physician, performs a variety of patient care duties and related task and maintains the environment, equipment, and supplies on assigned area. 


  • High School or equivalent
  • Skilled in venous punctures and EKGs
  • EMR system proficiency
    • Athena
  • Competency with computer programs
    • Intermediate MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet
  • Written and oral communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Functions as receptionist and utilizes communication techniques effectively and appropriately.
  • Correctly receives telephone information relays messages, and/or refers phone calls to appropriate person. 
  • Greets and directs patients and staff in a pleasant and courteous manner. 
  • Provides clerical support:
    • Maintain confidentiality of privileged information
    • obtains registration information as needed
    • Assembles and maintains patients’ charts in proper order
    • files forms and reports correctly
    • scheduled patients appointments for clinic follow-up, diagnostic procedures, studies and/or therapeutic treatments
    • notifies doctor when necessary or as instructed
    • obtains statistical data as necessary
    • maintains log book and other records
    • completes charge slips (for chargeable items)
    • keeps bulletin boards neat and up to date
    • requisitions supplies, equipment, maintenance/repair services as needed
  • Assist Nurse/Physician in providing patient care:
    • calls and prepared patients’ rooms for Physician exam
    • obtains vitals and documents appropriately
    • assists or performs procedures as directed by nurse of physician
    • collects/obtains specimens as ordered such as blood, urine, sputum, etc.
      • label specimens correctly and completes requisitions
    • performs EKGs as ordered and transmit to EKG lab
    • assists patients during physical exam
    • provides/maintains patient safety such as:
      • reports promptly to nurse changes in patients’ conditions, complaints, or other pertinent information
    • seeks directors or supervision when necessary
  • demonstrates time management effectively
  • Patient teaching:
    • validates patient’s or significant other’s level of understanding regarding teachings/instructions given
    • uses appropriate teaching materials
  • Adapts to schedules changes to meet staffing needs
  • Follows OSHA standards and other Infection Control regulations
  • Demonstrates understanding of personal role in center 
    • fire and other emergency procedures
  • Follows dress code policy and wears ID badge
  • performs other duties as required
