Pay: $21-24/hour
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 9AM-5PM, 1-hour unpaid lunch
1-2 Saturdays per month, 8:30AM-12PM, when scheduled to work on a Saturday, the employee will be scheduled to work a half-day during the week
Saturdays will start once training is completed, training is typically 4-weeks
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate is required
- 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience
- Must have experience administering injections
- Experience in pediatrics is highly preferred
- Experience with any EMR system is required, practice uses PCC (Physician’s Computer Company – pediatric specific EMR)
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the director of Physician
- Interviews patients, measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height, and record information in EMR
- Administers prescribed vaccines and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques
- Prepares equipment and aid Provider during treatment and examination of patient
- Performs routine laboratory tests
- Documents history and physical assessment for assigned patients
- Initiates a patient education plan appropriate with age
- Prepares rooms, equipment, and stock supplies
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments
- Other duties may be assigned
