Nurse Practitioner – Outpatient Urology (Bilingual Mandarin Required)
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (No weekends or on-call)
Compensation: Up to $160,000
Placement Fee: 25%

Position Overview:
A top academic urology practice is seeking a bilingual (Mandarin-speaking) Nurse Practitioner to join their outpatient team. This role is ideal for an advanced practice provider looking to support a high-volume general urology service. The NP will play a critical role in patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and education, all in close collaboration with physicians and clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Practice

  • Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and assessments

  • Develop differential diagnoses and implement treatment plans in coordination with supervising physicians

  • Order diagnostic tests and interpret clinical data

  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, procedures, and aftercare

  • Obtain insurance authorizations and perform peer reviews as needed

  • Monitor and assess patient response to treatments and therapies

  • Provide telephone triage and manage follow-up care

  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the EMR

Team Leadership & Workflow Management

  • Lead or participate in daily team huddles and clinic planning

  • Help train new clinical team members on procedures and workflows

  • Support ongoing education and process improvement initiatives

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalent

  • Active NYS RN and NP licensure

  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner

  • Must meet hospital credentialing requirements prior to start

  • Fluent in Mandarin (required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-5+ years of relevant clinical experience strongly preferred

  • Experience in Urology or surgical specialties

  • Familiarity with EMR systems and provider documentation standards

  • Understanding of billing, coding, and prior authorization processes
