Nurse Practitioner – Outpatient Urology (Bilingual Mandarin Required)
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (No weekends or on-call)
Compensation: Up to $160,000
Placement Fee: 25%
Position Overview:
A top academic urology practice is seeking a bilingual (Mandarin-speaking) Nurse Practitioner to join their outpatient team. This role is ideal for an advanced practice provider looking to support a high-volume general urology service. The NP will play a critical role in patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and education, all in close collaboration with physicians and clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice

Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and assessments

Develop differential diagnoses and implement treatment plans in coordination with supervising physicians

Order diagnostic tests and interpret clinical data

Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, procedures, and aftercare

Obtain insurance authorizations and perform peer reviews as needed

Monitor and assess patient response to treatments and therapies

Provide telephone triage and manage follow-up care

Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the EMR
Team Leadership & Workflow Management

Lead or participate in daily team huddles and clinic planning

Help train new clinical team members on procedures and workflows

Support ongoing education and process improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalent

Active NYS RN and NP licensure

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner

Must meet hospital credentialing requirements prior to start

Fluent in Mandarin (required)
Preferred Qualifications:

2-5+ years of relevant clinical experience strongly preferred

Experience in Urology or surgical specialties

Familiarity with EMR systems and provider documentation standards

Understanding of billing, coding, and prior authorization processes
