Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Primary Care, LGBTQ+, Sexual Health
Location: Providence, RI
Salary Range: $120-160k based on experience + excellent benefits including 5 weeks of PTO!
Schedule & Environment:
- Monday 10a–7p, Tuesday–Friday 8a–5p (No shift work – you finish when your last patient does)
- 4 patient-facing days / 1 admin day (admin day can be remote, but must be locally available for meetings)
- On-call: Light rotation every 7–8 weeks
We’re seeking an experienced and independent Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a progressive, mission-driven primary care clinic in Providence, RI. The clinic is known for its LGBTQ+ affirming care, robust sexual health services, and community-centered model.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide comprehensive primary care with an emphasis on LGBTQ+ and sexual health
- Deliver affirming, culturally responsive care to gender and sexual minorities, as well as Latinx and racially diverse patients
- Manage STI/HIV prevention, screening, and treatment
- Participate in clinic initiatives including harm reduction, behavioral health integration, and public health research
- Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and clinical team
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience preferred
- Ability to work independently in a full-scope outpatient setting
- Preferred experience: Primary care, Gender-affirming care, Sexual health/STI/HIV care
- Strong EMR proficiency (Athenahealth a plus)
- PMHNP or Psych NP background is a plus!
- Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese a plus
- Experience serving underserved or marginalized populations
- Comfortable in a fast-paced clinic with public health and research ties
