Patient Access Representative

Pay: $20-23/hour

Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8AM – 5PM (2 openings)

Requirements: 

  • 1+ year of administrative experience in healthcare setting (patient service/patient access/related)
  • Must be bilingual, English / Spanish
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, cancel, and/or reschedule patient appointments
  • Check-in/check-out appointments and create follow up visits
  • Complete patient registration
  • Accurately collect, verify, and data enter demographic and insurance information
  • Answer calls through multiline phone system
  • Document clear and concise telephone encounters or RX refill requests and route appropriately
  • Navigate and document in the Electronic Medical Record (Epic), to access relevant and appropriate information
  • Interact in a professional, friendly, and welcoming manner while capturing accurate information in order to provide superior customer service
