Title: Quality Control Inspector

Pay: $23-$24/hr. DOE and flexibility

Hours: 8-5 Monday-Friday
POSITION: Experienced Quality Control Inspector/AS9102 FAI Specialist
REPORTS TO: Quality Control Manager Quality Control Inspector/AS9102 FAI Specialist to administrate, monitor and execute (where applicable) activities of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) with emphasis on First Article Inspection Reports. A minimum of two (2) years prior experience working with Quality Management Standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9102 is required.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to review all AS9102 FAI’s to ensure compliance with the standard and any applicable customer requirements as they relate to same. A minimum of two (2) years prior experience working with AS9102 FAI’s.
- Coordinate with our suppliers and customers to the extent necessary to ensure customer satisfaction and acceptance of all FAI’s
- Maintain FAI history and all functions related to FAI’s be they per AS9102 or otherwise.
- Review PPAP’s and complete standard Part Submission Warrants (PSW’s) as needed.
- Support inspection by inspecting both incoming and outgoing product as required to ensure compliance with customer prints, military specifications, industry standards and/or commercial requirements.
Specific Requirements
- Must understand and have experience completing and/or reviewing AS9102 FAI’s and all supporting documentation.
- Must be capable of working with PPAP’s.
- Must be able to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Must be capable of reading military specifications, industry standards and commercial specs as required to determine product requirements.
- Must be capable of using standard inspection equipment (i.e. calipers, micrometers, thread plugs, thread rings, precision pins, etc.)
