Sales Representative

Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in prospecting and developing sales leads, along with preparing and presenting fleet proposals for its rapidly expanding retail fuel business.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Source, create and develop a proprietary fleet card program for our label brand & stores
  • Develop an advertising & marketing program for our fleet card program
  • Create a fuel discount program for the new fleet card to be launched
  • Example: Purchase 500 to 1000 gallons get x cents off a gallons
  • Work with the Operations Team to create a rollout plan launching the card at all company operated locations
  • Complete profitability and analyze quarterly reports on discounts given
  • Manage the current customers on the old programs from Zipline and Fleetcor
  • Complete a full rollout conversion of all the old customers to the new selected program
  • Build new prospects through cold calling and emailing to set appointments with prospective clients
  • Conduct effective sales calls that first identify prospective customers goals, challenges and needs and culminate in the recommendation of an appropriate fleet card solution to meet those needs
  • Visiting new businesses daily to sell the fleet card program
  • Managing new customers on-boarding process
  • Prepare and present new customer fleet card proposals to Executive Vice President for approval
  • Organize territory and maintain regular face-to-face customer engagement
  • Ability to negotiate new and current contracts

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience; fuel fleet card industry experienced strongly preferred
  • Experience in sales industry with preferred a BS/BA degree
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal, presentation and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and perform in a fast-paced constantly changing environment, while simultaneously relating to customers, outside contacts and fellow employees
  • Travel required throughout assigned sales territory
  • Computer skills such as Microsoft Suite and other technology based required for the position
