We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Ledger (GL) Accountant with proven experience in the manufacturing sector and comprehensive knowledge of SAP or large ERP systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
– Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.
– Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including account analysis and adjustments.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity within SAP/ERP systems.
– Assist with fixed asset management, inventory accounting, and cost center allocations specific to manufacturing operations.
– Conduct internal controls reviews and support audit requests.
– Improve accounting workflows through automation and process optimization initiatives.
– Stay updated on manufacturing accounting standards and ERP system functionalities.
**Requirements:**
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
– Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a GL Accountant, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
– Extensive experience working with SAP or other large ERP systems.
– Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting processes, cost accounting, and inventory management.
– Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant financial software.
– Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
