Engineering Technician

Hours 8am-5pm 
Pay $ 20.75 – $28.75 /hr – based on experience

Responsibilities
 

  • Assist in evaluating new product design and modifications to existing designs.
  • Troubleshoot and document warranty returns to determine failure modes.
  • Setup, operate, maintain and document test results of prototype experiments.
  • Assist Engineering in developing test procedures for new designs.
  • Assembles and tests low volume production assemblies as needed.
  • Occasionally visit field installations and vendor locations.
  • Responsible for personally maintaining work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization.
  • Reads schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions on a regular basis.
  • Program and test microcontrollers with new revisions of software.  (Training is available)
  • Operate standard test equipment such as a multimeter, data logging equipment, various lab equipment.
  • Utilize a computer with basic Microsoft programs to log data and create test reports.
  • Build product simulators and sales demos using Engineering plans and schematics.
  • Make modifications to or repair production circuit board assemblies.

Requirements

  • Associates degree from two year college – or one – two years of work related experience
