Medical Assistant – Dermatology office

The Dover office is looking for a well seasoned Medical Assistant with Dermatology experience, a plus if they have Mohs or surgical experience as well. The Dover location is the busiest office and the MA would be working alongside the Provider who manages all in house procedures and is the busiest Provider in the practice seeing 60+ patients a day.
Location: Dover, New Hampshire
Temp Pay: $22 – $25
- Has Derm or 2+ yrs MA experience: $22 – $24/hr
- Has surgical experience: $23 – $25/hr
Schedule: 7:45-5p Monday to Friday
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Diploma
- Certification not required
- Customer service skills
- MOHS/dermatology experience highly preferred but not required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 2 years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity
- Dermatology experience required
- Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment
- Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
- Must possess organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team
Essential Duties:
- Rooming patients and documents all vital information
- Scribing information for the dermatologist
- Providing post op wound care to patients
- Drawing blood and suture removal
- Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms
- Scheduling patient appointments
Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as:
- Surgical photographs
- Biopsies – punch, DIF and shave
- Excisions
- Electrodessication and curettage
- I&D
- Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery
- Phototherapy
- Injections
- Koh preps
- Trichograms
- Tzank preps
- Dermabrasion
- Patch testing
- Blue light
