Medical Assistant $25/hour

Pay: $21-25/hour depending on experience

Schedule: 40 hours per week, must be flexible to work 8-hour shift between the below times, must work 1-late shift per week 
Monday 7AM-7PM
Tuesday 7AM-7PM
Wednesday 7AM-7PM
Thursday 7AM-5PM
Friday 7AM-5PM

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of medical assistant experience
  • Knowledge in any EMR (practice uses eClinicalWorks, NaviNet, Helio – training provided)

Responsibilities:

  • Accompany provider in room during patient visit
  • Scribe documentation in eClinicalWorks to include history of present illness, review of systems, physical, exam findings, diagnostic assessment, and plan of care
  • Document results of laboratory and radiographic studies as discussed by provider
  • Refill any patient prescriptions as directed by the provider
  • Coordinate multiple projects and patients and solve problems under pressure
  • Communicate and interact professionally with others
  • Treat all information with complete confidentiality and security in compliance with HIPPA regulations
  • Provide general care to patients
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments if required
  • Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials, ensure cleanliness
  • Prepare equipment and assist the physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients
  • Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication / treatments to physicians
  • Educate patient / family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition, and maintenance
  • Greet patients and prepare them for physical examination
  • Screen patients for appropriate information
  • Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests
  • Assess patient needs and suggests solutions to patient care problems
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Enter billing information as determined by the type of office visit
  • Responsible for reporting improperly operating medical equipment and instruments to supervisor
  • Responsible for following OSHA regulations
  • Regularly interacts with physicians and other departments in order to identify and resolve problems
  • Maintain patient, employee, and clinic confidentiality
