COMPENSATION: 100K-120K (depending on experience level)
Job description
- Responsible for overseeing, documenting, organizing, and closing out non-conformances and corrective actions using the 8D process. Responsible for resolving customer quality-related issues.
- Performs internal and customer-specific quality and process audits; maintains compliance with Nadcap Standards.
- Manages Inspection personnel, including hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and conducting performance appraisals.
- Maintains documentation related to incoming material certifications, shop calibration, specifications, training, supplier portals, etc.
- Responsible for training all employees on updates to the QMS, as applicable.
- Responsible for contract review: checks paperwork for accuracy before being released to the shop. Fixes certifications if necessary.
- Ensures adherence to customer quality requirements; reviewing processes as they are introduced.
- Acts as member of management team: attends meetings, helps carry out company initiatives, supports the work of other departments, and provides input on company strategy, policies, and procedures
- Improves the effectiveness of the department: participates in departmental continuous improvement activities, evaluates and reports on departmental performance, trains and develops personnel to ensure stability and next level performance of the department
