National Law firm seeks Litigation Docketing Specialist
Summary:
The Litigation Docketing Specialist manages all aspects of the firm’s litigation docket, ensuring accurate and timely processing using rules-based software and adhering to risk management guidelines. Reports to the Litigation Docketing Manager and provides support to assigned offices, with backup coverage firm-wide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze docketing requests to calculate critical deadlines
- Research and update docket entries, ensuring quality control
- Monitor docketing inboxes and coordinate with case teams
- Collaborate with legal teams on deadlines and scheduling
- Stay updated on Federal, State, and local rules and civil procedures
- Provide support and guidance on docketing policies to attorneys and staff
- Generate and distribute docket reports
- Engage in virtual meetings and maintain confidentiality
- Work independently and with the docketing team
Qualifications:
- Self-starter with critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong command of English and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong time management
- Knowledge of docketing software (e-Dockets, CompuLaw, CourtAlert)
- Service-oriented with relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong attention to detail
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred (extensive experience considered)
- 5+ years of litigation docketing experience
