National Law firm seeks Litigation Docketing Specialist

Summary:
The Litigation Docketing Specialist manages all aspects of the firm’s litigation docket, ensuring accurate and timely processing using rules-based software and adhering to risk management guidelines. Reports to the Litigation Docketing Manager and provides support to assigned offices, with backup coverage firm-wide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze docketing requests to calculate critical deadlines
  • Research and update docket entries, ensuring quality control
  • Monitor docketing inboxes and coordinate with case teams
  • Collaborate with legal teams on deadlines and scheduling
  • Stay updated on Federal, State, and local rules and civil procedures
  • Provide support and guidance on docketing policies to attorneys and staff
  • Generate and distribute docket reports
  • Engage in virtual meetings and maintain confidentiality
  • Work independently and with the docketing team

Qualifications:

  • Self-starter with critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong command of English and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong time management
  • Knowledge of docketing software (e-Dockets, CompuLaw, CourtAlert)
  • Service-oriented with relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong attention to detail

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred (extensive experience considered)
  • 5+ years of litigation docketing experience
