We are adding a Senior Accountant to our successful team due to continued growth. Duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Financial Accounting
- Responsible for month-end closing activities such as reviewing reconciliations and journal entries related to cash, prepaid expenses, payroll, accrued expenses, and other areas
- Perform financial and cost analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts to support business
- Prepare supporting schedules for external auditors for quarterly and year-end audits
Cost Analysis and Cash
- Manage all processes related to cash audit and application
- Manage customer liability accounts
- Responsible for cost validation and analysis on inventory including process improvements
Performance Management
- Manage direct reports’ performance and professional development
- Provide guidance and support to finance team including: financial information and understanding of accounting policies and procedures
- Propose initiatives for process optimization and automation to support significant Company growth
- Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.
Experience and Required Qualifications
- A successful candidate must have a BS degree in Accounting
- The candidate should possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a fast-paced accounting department
- The candidate should be a quick learner, have strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities, and be an independent thinker with a proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- The candidate should be able to interact and communicate effectively at all levels across an organization
- The candidate should be detailed and deadline-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with varying priorities with a strong willingness to learn new things
