Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) -? Non Profit

Location: ?NY, NY
Temp Pay: $32 – 37.50/hr based on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 – 5pm

Requirements:

Must have NYS CASAC credential
High School Diploma required
Bachelors in related field preferred
Bilingual English Spanish preferred?
?Minimum of 3 years? experience in a substance use treatment setting

Position Summary:

A Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) interviews clients referred by New York City?s HRA, applying clinical judgment to determine appropriate treatment needs and levels of care. Our CASACs work with a variety of HRA-identified special client populations, and interact with treatment providers daily

Conduct one on one assessment on HRA-identified applicants and recipients
Determine if treatment is needed
Refer identified clients to HRA-approved treatment programs
Make clinical recommendations for treatment referrals
