This individual will be responsible for vendor management, client communications, managing vehicle offboarding, inventory management, and managing reconditioning and internal communication processes with internal staff.

As a member of the Asset management team, the Vehicle Offboarding Specialist plays a pivotal role in collaborating with diverse partners and vendors to facilitate strategic decisions regarding fleet lifecycle. This position involves overseeing the offboarding process, which encompasses intricate decision-making regarding the next stage of a vehicle’s life, coordinating transportation logistics with vendors, and maintaining our robust offsite inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the availability of the offsite fleet pool, overseeing and managing vehicle readiness through reconditioning and compliance.
• Communicate professionally with internal partners and external vendors throughout the reconditioning lifecycle of the vehicle.
• Make decisions that may deviate from current processes to ensure the timely securing of an asset.
• Maintain and monitor a vehicle’s life cycle from off-rent to available status.
• Thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing environment that relies on innovative thinking.
• Validate and manage required process documentation.
• Assess damage on vehicles returning from rental and lease with appropriate bill backs.
• Collaborate with different teams across organization to achieve overall business objectives.
• Oversee inventory availability of asset class, asset type, and specifications to optimize fleet utilization.
• Collaborate closely with the Maintenance, Bodywork, Account Management, Transportation, and Fulfillment teams.
• Adapt and work on new tasks/projects that may arise outside of normal scope. • Assist in determining the end of a vehicle’s life cycle in fleet.
• Ensure asset readiness through management of 3rd party vendor network of maintenance, bodywork, reconditioning, and storage services.
• Manage the quality, safety, and compliance of the fleet portfolio.
• Enable best practices for inventory management, including disposition decisions and service optimization.
• Generate fleet reporting to track and manage utilization, service cycle time, availability, and aging inventory.
• (Drive cost savings through negotiated service rates, reduced service turn time, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Experience:
• Administrative, Logistics, or Operations experience in demanding corporate environment
• Prior experience in the fleet and/or automotive industries is preferred, but not required.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent working experience. High School diploma or equivalent is required.
