Medical Biller- Mon-Friday 8-5pm $25-$26 2 Openings Mon-Fri 8-5pm

(Physician billing experience and be a certified professional coder a big plus)
Required Skills:
Physician Billing

  • Must be CPC certified. Experience with Urology and Interventional Radiology is a plus.
  • Ability to manage high levels of billing and claims activity with accuracy
  • Must be able to work quietly and independently
  • Ability to analyze Billing and AR related information
  • Excellent Computer Skills
  • Ability to identify documentation deficiencies and properly query providers for proper code Knowledge on code use for; CPT, HCPCS Level II, and ICD-10-CM diagnosis and procedures.
  • Knowledge of medical billing/coding guidelines and regulation including compliance and reimbursement
  • Understanding how to integrate medical coding and payment policy changes into a practice’s

reimbursement processes.

  • Financial Skills related to medical billing with attention to detail; understanding how to review an EOP
  • Comfortable with the Overall Practice Environment

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate regularly and as necessary with staff members in the Divisional patient care locations.
  • Directly involved with automated claims submission and billing, collections, insurance verification, prior authorizations and/or referrals, hospital billing, claims follow-up, claims

appeal, patient balance collections, end of period reporting, insurance credentialing, contracting, and special projects as required.

  • May interact with physicians to obtain missing information or verify information accuracy within electronic medical records.
  • Interact with patients/customers to communicate with them concerning non-covered services, patient collections and payment of self-pay accounts.
  • Supports patients and physician practice activities by providing billing and collection, data entry and processing, cash posting, general financial services, medical records review, utilization review, and guest relations.
  • Produce billing of electronic and hard copy claims, government payer compliance, and follow-up
  • Coordinate payment posting, collections and associated tasks, policies, and procedures for the billing department.
  • Interact with insurance plans to review/discuss/resolve denied or incorrectly processed claims to resolve and ensure payment.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and systems related to billing and compliance. Understand and comply with processes for medical necessity, late charge and denials.
  • Ensure that quality services are always provided.

Required Experience:

  • HS diploma and/or college degree/certification or equivalent business experience
  • Certified Professional Coder
  • 3+ years of medical billing experience in a large medical practice
  • Proven track record of effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and management of accounts receivable
  • Excellent computer skills
