Mammography Technician

Part time, one day per week in occupational health office
Daytime hours, any day of the week ideally Saturdays!

Requirements: 

  • Active NY State Diagnostic Radiography License
  • 2+ years of Mammo Tech experience
  • BLSC/ACLS Certified
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Comfortable with MS Office Suite and web-based applications
  • Must possess a positive attitude and be highly articulate and professional

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality mammography procedures for patients while ensuring compliance with all regulations
  • Help patients practice preventative care by becoming aware of their risk factors
  • Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography
  • Comply with weekly submission of all QA reporting requirements
  • Ensure high-quality screenings and customer service to patients
  • Educate and promote preventative health and healthy lifestyles
  • Review patient assessment of signs and symptoms
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies
  • Complete any necessary paperwork and documentation
  • Ensure all radiographic images are appropriately labeled
  • Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care
  • Monitor patient prior to, during, and after screenings and promptly report any abnormal findings in patient’s condition
