Recertification Specialist

We have partnered with a National Property Management company who is in need of Compliance help in their 200 unit Bridgeton Location.

This is a 3 month project paying $25-30/hr with a schedule of 8am-5pm Mon-Fri

An EIV/Recertification Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing the recertification process and ensuring compliance with the Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) system for housing programs. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate and timely income and eligibility information for residents participating in housing assistance programs, such as the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program or Section 8. Previous and current experience a MUST.

1. Recertification Management:
   – Coordinate and conduct annual and interim recertifications for residents.
   – Review and verify resident documentation to ensure eligibility and compliance with housing program requirements.
   – Update resident files and databases with current income and household information.

2. Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) System
   – Ability to utilize the EIV system to verify resident income and identify discrepancies.
   – Resolve income discrepancies by working with residents and relevant agencies to obtain accurate information.
   – Maintain compliance with HUD regulations regarding the use and security of the EIV system.

4. Resident Communication and Support:
   – Communicate with residents to explain recertification processes and requirements.
   – Provide assistance to residents in completing necessary forms and obtaining required documentation.
   – Address resident questions and concerns related to income verification and recertification.
