ROLE: CUSTOMER SERVICE REP
LOCATION: RHODE ISLAND
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report to the National Sales Manager and/or Territory Account Manager (as assigned)
- Manufacturing/Distribution industry – MUST
- Provide sales support to customers and distributors
- Process sample requests, quote requests and purchase orders via phone, fax and email
- Provide administrative and functional support to National Sales Manager, Territory Account Manager(s) and other Senior Managers as assigned
- Assist in the creation/ updating of marketing literature and distribute marketing literature to customers, distributors or others as assigned
- Update and maintain product(s) price list in secure network file
- Provide primary phone coverage for sales and office staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Education Associates Degree from an accredited college or university, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales support or customer service
- Must be fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Office with the ability to learn and use Crystal Reports, Macola and Goldmine
OVERALL ROLE:
This position reports to the National Sales Manager and/or . The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and time-management skills are required, as well as the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities. The position also requires supporting an organization’s sales team including managing schedules, creating sales documents and proposals, generating reports related to sales activities and revenue data, as well as handling customers and prioritizing customer requests.
