Accounts Payable Clerk

Hours M-F 8:00AM-4:30pm
Pay $20-$25 /hr 
Fully in office

Responsibilities 

  • Interacting with employees and vendors in a professional manner
  • Reviewing invoices against purchase orders, ensuring pricing as well as quantities are in accordance with the purchase order
  • Making certain all invoices are received and receipt of the merchandise has occurred
  • Processing 3-way purchase order matching invoices
  • Evaluating and processing invoices, check requests, credit card charges and accompanying documentation for accuracy and proper authorization/approval
  • Handling check requests
  • Responding to all vendor inquiries
  • Reconcile open payables
  • Updating and maintaining vendor database
  • Reconciling vendor statements including research, and correction of discrepancies via email with vendors.
  • Maintaining and issuing vendor 1099’s
  • Work closely with Purchasing in ensuring vendor requests and issues are handled quickly and efficiently
  • Meeting deadlines with accuracy
  • Perform other similar or related duties as required or

Requirements

  • Intermediate MS Excel skills a plus, including v-lookups and pivot tables
  • Detailed knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • Thorough understanding of applicable accounts payable procedures and general ledger chart of accounts
  • ERP systems experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Sales and Use Tax
  • Manufacturing AP experience
