The Human Resources (HR) Lead is self-motivated and actively engaged with employees of all levels at our organization. The candidate provides supervision, audit, innovation and HR support across all of the organization’s restaurants. This person will be expected to partner and execute the work alongside General Managers, Area Supervisors, People Experience Lead (PEL), Deployment Lead, Director of Operations, Office Controller and members of the back office team. The individual executes at a high-level to build a well-performing team culture. The candidate should have strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with peers and leadership to carry out a full range of duties and responsibilities

- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment/compensation laws and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Displays knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law
- Conducts restaurant audits to ensure compliance with laws and company employee practices
- Anticipates, identifies, and assists in the investigation and resolution of crisis management situations
- Support the restaurants as required through audit, analysis, and coaching
- Manages cost containment/incentive programs (WOTC, Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment, etc.) to ensure these programs optimize profitability
- Contributes to the development and implementation of the organization or a restaurant specific HR plan that supports the growth and evolution of the business
- Stays current on best practices and trends related to human resources
- Implements current best practices and trends into work assignments
- Consult with leadership in the area of change management to achieve the organization’s human resource strategies and business goals
- Partners with leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention and succession planning.
- Partners with Operations to conduct quarterly staffing analysis to ensure organization effectiveness
- Connect with local hiring agencies and host local hiring events to build strong relationships in the community
- Support restaurant management teams with staffing needs using internal application tracking system
- Supports Operations in conducting Listening Surveys and developing effective action plans
- Manages talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring
- Leads efforts to submit survey, data and documentation required to comply with the virtual organization level visit
- Attends virtual organization level visit with owner-operator and other team leadership
- Notifies and prepares restaurants for announced third-party assessor visits
- Partners with leadership team to coordinate annual People Summit, Outstanding General Manager Awards Ceremony, Holiday Party and other events
REQUIREMENTS
- BS Degree preferred
- 3+ years HR experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Capable of addressing conflicts promptly and effectively to maintain a positive work environment
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast paced environments while still maintaining a high level of accuracy and not losing momentum
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Dedicated self-starter who takes initiative on appropriate tasks
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
- Quick Service Restaurant experience preferred
