We have independent living, a 24-bed rest home, and a 46-bed skilled nursing community.

Job description

The staff accountant will be responsible for:

· Assisting in maintaining all financial systems including the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets.

· Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.

· Assist in the preparation/coordination of other financial reporting and analysis.

· Post and/or review journal entries to the ledger.

· Reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, expenses, revenues, and financial schedules on a monthly basis.

· Assist in the year-end review audit requirements.

· Assist in the coordination/preparation of Medicaid and Medicare cost reports supporting schedules.

· Coordinate and monitor various inter-company activities and balances.

· Assist with the development and implementation of information-based technology.

Qualifications

Minimum of two (3) years’ accounting experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum associate’s degree
  • Specific knowledge and experience with long-term care/third party reimbursement preferred
  • Strong computer, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Excel and Quickbooks required
  • PCC knowledge preferred
