Job Overview
We are a growing multi-disciplinary Orthopedic Surgery practice and are located in the heart of downtown Jersey City, The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and various imaging techniques. The X-ray Technician will work closely with the orthopedic surgeon and clinical team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Pay: $34 – $40, dependent on experience
Schedule: Part time – Mon, Tues, Thurs. 10am – 6pm
- Need for 3-4 days per week

Requirements
- Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of diagnostic radiology practices and medical imaging technologies.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy knowledge is essential.
- EMR experience
- office utilizes ECW
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or emergency room (ER) setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively while maintaining patient comfort.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training related to advancements in the field.
Duties
- Sees ~10-12 patients per day
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders.
- Ensure the safety of patients by following established protocols for radiation protection.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions to ensure accurate results.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with medical staff to discuss findings and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
- Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology, including techniques such as sonography and mammography.
