We have partnered with a 50 year family owned Property Management company out of the Bronx who oversees over 11,000 units across the region who is looking to grow their Compliance Department with skilled staff at all levels, especially Recertification Specialists with LIHTC and HCV experience.

Pay range is based on experience:  $60k – $70k and a schedule of 8am – 5pm Mon-Fri

This role is integral to ensuring that the property remains in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including HUD and LIHTC guidelines. Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency preferred.

A Recertification Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing the recertification process and ensuring compliance with the Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) system for housing programs. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate and timely income and eligibility information for residents participating in housing assistance programs, such as the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program or Housing Choice Vouchers. Previous and current experience a MUST. 

1. Recertification Management:
   – Coordinate and conduct annual and interim recertifications for residents.
   – Review and verify resident documentation to ensure eligibility and compliance with housing program requirements.
   – Update resident files and databases with current income and household information.

2. Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) System 
   – Ability to utilize the EIV system to verify resident income and identify discrepancies.
   – Resolve income discrepancies by working with residents and relevant agencies to obtain accurate information.
   – Maintain compliance with HUD regulations regarding the use and security of the EIV system.

4. Resident Communication and Support:
   – Communicate with residents to explain recertification processes and requirements.
   – Provide assistance to residents in completing necessary forms and obtaining required documentation.
   – Address resident questions and concerns related to income verification and recertification.

You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
