Seeking a hands-on Vice President of Finance to lead accounting & finance operations, design and optimize accounting processes and systems, and support business growth. This is a fully on-site role to start, with 1-day remote flexibility over time.
Key Responsibilities:
· Financial Strategy & Leadership: Establish a unified financial structure, integrating systems and ensuring visibility across all financial activities.
· Systems Optimization & ERP Implementation.
· Accounting & Financial Operations: Oversee all operational accounting & finance tasks including AP, AR, depreciation, accruals, prepaid amortization, and loan interest calculations.
· Month-End Close & Financial Reporting: Drive a more efficient month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely monthly financial reporting packages for management. Initially, this role will require a hands-on approach to month-end close.
· Cash Flow & ROI Management: Improve cash flow management, provide support for refinancing debt, and ensuring strong ROI calculations.
· Treasury & Internal Controls: Assist in treasury functions, internal controls, and potential selection/implementation of additional financial software, such as expense management tools.
· Team Development: Empower the Financial Controller, AP clerks, and AR team, ensuring strong collaboration with operations and inventory teams. Additionally, select, hire and train any additional adds to staff.
· Operational & Cost Efficiency: Drive cost-cutting initiatives, better KPI tracking, and optimize budget monitoring.
· Support Growth & Future Transactions: Position the company for scalability. Ideal Candidate:
· Proven experience in a VP Finance, Controller, or senior financial leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong expertise in ERP systems
· Experience & comfort being hands-on with month-end close, financial reporting, cash flow management, and process optimization.
· Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, inventory, and executive leadership.
