Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial accounting and reporting for our multi-entity business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls across all entities.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and present clear and concise reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements in Rhode Island.
- Collaborate with other members of the senior management team on strategic initiatives and business growth plans.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function.
- Actively participate in strategic planning and contribute to the overall business strategy.
- Optimize systems and processes (ERP, CRM, financial workflows)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of controller environment accounting experience.
- Proven expertise in GAAP and financial reporting, including consolidations.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
