Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial accounting and reporting for our multi-entity business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls across all entities.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and present clear and concise reports to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements in Rhode Island.
  • Collaborate with other members of the senior management team on strategic initiatives and business growth plans.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function.
  • Actively participate in strategic planning and contribute to the overall business strategy.
  • Optimize systems and processes (ERP, CRM, financial workflows)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of controller environment accounting experience.
  • Proven expertise in GAAP and financial reporting, including consolidations.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership potential and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
