Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Representative to manage and process payroll and benefits administration for our dynamic manufacturing workforce. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using Paylocity, a strong understanding of payroll compliance, and familiarity with the unique needs of a manufacturing environment, including hourly, shift-based, and union/non-union employee populations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees using Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Maintain and audit payroll records, timekeeping data, and personnel transactions (new hires, terminations, promotions)

  • Administer benefit programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA, and leave programs (FMLA, disability, etc.)

  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, timekeeping, deductions, and benefits with a high level of customer service

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations

  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to support reporting, audits, and month-end payroll reconciliation

  • Assist with open enrollment and benefits education sessions

  • Coordinate with manufacturing supervisors to ensure timekeeping accuracy across shifts and departments


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of payroll and benefits experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting

  • Proficiency with Paylocity is required

  • Solid understanding of federal and state payroll laws, tax reporting, and benefit regulations

  • Experience with hourly, shift-based, and multi-state payrolls preferred

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with union environments and collective bargaining agreements

  • Knowledge of timekeeping systems and integrations (e.g., Paylocity Time & Labor)

  • HR or payroll certification (e.g., FPC, CPP, SHRM-CP) a plus
