Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in manufacturing accounting and extensive experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the accuracy of financial records, overseeing cost accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, product costing, inventory controls, and financial reporting—along with a proven track record of ERP implementation or optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Manage and monitor all aspects of cost accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate tracking of production costs and work-in-progress
Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
Maintain the ERP system for financial and operational data accuracy; assist with configuration, testing, and training
Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
Analyze manufacturing trends and performance metrics to provide actionable financial insights
Support budgeting and forecasting processes with a focus on operational and cost efficiencies
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting function
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory management in a production setting
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ERP system implementation or major upgrades
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
Exposure to international manufacturing operations or multi-site environments
