Comp Range: $169,774–$248,230
Schedule: Mon–Thurs 8a–5p, Fri 9:30a–5p (Closed 12:30p–1p daily)

The Role:
This is a clinical leadership opportunity for an Infectious Disease Physician to oversee programmatic and operational aspects of the Ryan White program, while maintaining a patient panel. The Director will serve as a subject matter expert across the organization and help shape ID strategy, quality outcomes, and staff development. You’ll supervise two direct reports (a Program Manager and a Provider) and collaborate with the Clinical Director of Adult Medicine.

Core Responsibilities:

Clinical Leadership

  • Provide oversight for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS and ID program

  • Lead and supervise ID team, including MDs and support staff

  • Maintain an active patient panel (ID and primary care)

  • Participate in clinical call rotations

  • Drive evidence-based care delivery

  • Support provider performance and peer review

  • Promote continuous clinical education and training

Administrative Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day operations: scheduling, staffing, workflow

  • Manage quality improvement and outcome tracking using data tools

  • Resolve patient grievances related to care quality

  • Recruit, onboard, and retain clinical staff

  • Serve on key committees (e.g., Infection Control, QAPI)

Community & Strategic Engagement

  • Build partnerships with ID stakeholders and clinical affiliates

  • Represent the program in public and community health forums

  • Help expand ID services and secure grants (preferred)


Ideal Candidate:

  • MD or DO, Board-Certified in Infectious Disease

  • Licensed or eligible in CT

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in ID clinical practice

  • At least 1 year of clinical administrative leadership experience (preferred, not required)

  • Background with underserved or diverse patient populations strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with federally qualified health centers and grant-funded programs is a plus

  • Spanish fluency is a bonus
