Medical Front Desk
*Contract to Hire*
Pay: $16-18/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30AM – 5:00PM
Location: Chesterfield, VA
Overview: Looking for a reliable candidate that is willing to join a cardiology practice! This practice sees an average of 50 patients a day! A majority of this role is greeting and checking in patients. (Minimal Phone Use) The candidate will be trained by the office manager and other front desk person! To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking skills are essential for this position. This role is vital to the company. Ultimately, a Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes guests positively, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
Requirements:
- 1-2+ year of Medical Receptionist experience
- Experience in any EMR system (Athena experience a plus, but will train)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- High school diploma
Responsibilities:
- Complete patient check-in and check-outs
- Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Schedule patient appointments
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationary and material
- Provide basic and accurate information both in-person and via phone/email

- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)

- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
- High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plus
