RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Controller is responsible for overseeing financial planning, cost control, and performance monitoring of operational activities across the company’s operations. This role provides critical insights into the financial health of day-to-day operations and helps drive informed decision making to optimize resource use, improve cost efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance.
 

  • Monitor and analyze operational expenditures including chemicals, energy, labor, maintenance, and third-party services.
  • Prepare and manage operational budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with operations team to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
  • Generate monthly operational performance reports with analysis of key metrics.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of operational data in ERP.
  • Track capital expenditures and assist in ROI analysis for new equipment and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Maintain compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations from a cost-control perspective.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.)
  • 10+ years of experience in financial control or operations finance
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in SAP S4/HANA and advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with EPA and OSHA regulations related to water treatment operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
