Responsibilities
- Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
- Summary: The Facility Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for providing a level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on the production equipment and systems in an industrial manufacturing environment
- The Facility Maintenance Mechanic must have the ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures
- General Maintenance of equipment will also be required
- Performs highly diversified duties to repair machinery, and equipment
- Maintains machinery and equipment; participants in all phases of maintenance operations
- Must be able to trouble shoot electrical and pneumatic machinery
- Complies with and enforces safety rules and regulations and maintenance of good housekeeping practices
- Other duties may be assigned
- diagnoses and remedies problems in production equipment; tears down, repairs or replaces worn or defective parts and reassembles
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions and established procedures; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining equipment supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
- Repairs or replaces pneumatic and hydraulic valves, oils and greases machine and performs other machining operations
- Makes and installs machinery
- Makes repairs to water, steam, air and plumbing lines, Makes installation and repairs requiring carpentry skills
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to codes; alerting others regarding potential concerns
- Detects and reports faulty operations, defective material and unusual conditions
- Ability to thread pipe and bend conduit
- The employee will be required to climb ladders and stairs
- The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Requirments
- 3-5+ years of industrial maintenance work
- Experience in mechanical and electrical work
