We have partnered with one of Central Mass’ leading non-profit residential living facilities for youths who is looking for a seasoned Maintenance Tech to handle the Maintenance needs of the portfolio.
The position will cover office buildings and residential sits in Easthampton, Northhampton, Springfielfd. Seldomly will the Tech travel to Worcester and Malden.
The schedule is 9a-5p Mon-Fri (with on call and emergencies as needed) and will pay $31/hour
You will get a company van to drive around and all tools/materials needed to complete the jobs.

Essential Functions
- Maintain and repair, as needed, all buildings, vehicles and equipment.
- Perform and/or supervise activities related to the improvement of the agency’s physical facilities.
- Perform the maintenance of common grounds, as assigned, including those assigned to site specific contractors including: grounds-keeping, snow removal, general cleanup of outside areas, roadways, walkways, and parking areas.
- Ensure that all physical work areas, residences and associated systems are constructed and maintained with consideration for work productivity; safety and resource efficiency.
- Provide on and off-hour emergency response as needed including: repairing plumbing/electrical problems, stabilizing damages, and calling in support personnel as needed.
- Work closely with and maintain good working relations with employees in all areas and contractors and vendors to ensure that the physical environment is maintained in a safe, efficient and professional looking manner while maintaining all agency standards as set forth by maintenance supervisor.
- Attend regular meetings with supervisor. Attend specific group meetings, as needed.
- Perform other similar duties as assigned or requested by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with all phases of maintenance including but not limited to: general carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, heating, preventative troubleshooting, etc. Minimum of 5 years experience in related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to lift at least 65 lbs. and be skilled with variety power tools.
- Ability and desire to work well with diverse individuals in a team oriented environment.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Approved CORI and DCF check.
