Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager/Estimator with proven experience in design-build commercial construction. This hybrid role requires a professional who can lead projects from pre-construction through closeout, with a deep understanding of estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and team coordination. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, excellent communicator, and problem-solver capable of managing multiple projects while maintaining client satisfaction and project profitability.


Key Responsibilities
Project Management

  • Lead commercial construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients in a collaborative design-build environment.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee field operations and regularly visit job sites to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to plans/specifications.
  • Lead regular project meetings with internal teams and clients.

Estimating & Preconstruction

  • Analyze project documents, drawings, and specifications to develop detailed estimates and proposals.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids; negotiate scopes and pricing.
  • Prepare conceptual and design-build estimates during various phases of design.
  • Assist with value engineering, feasibility studies, and constructability reviews.

Client & Team Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners.
  • Mentor and guide junior project team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years in a combined Project Manager and Estimator role.
  • Proven experience in design-build delivery methods.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and commercial project lifecycles.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and project management tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
