ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
 

  • Develop and manage effective and organizational policies and procedures in Accounting, Finance, and Internal Controls which support Company objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise to the Company in the areas of financial and accounting management. Review, monitor, recommend, and advise on financial activities to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and clarity of all financial statements
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, Payables, Collections, Payroll, 401K, as well as MRP and IT administrative coordination.
  • Collaborate with Company operations to ensure alignment of operational and financial goals across the organization.
  • Coordinate the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing process.
  • Direct, and analyze the preparation of reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Counsel with Management on various alternatives for present and future schedule projections; considering the effect on costs and inventories, and various conditions that will affect materials and shortages.
  • Maintain accurate product costing from bill of materials; Record inventory valuations in accordance to GAAP; Provide costing analysis for business modeling.
  • Coordinate, arrange, and prepare financial reports and tax compliance items for company external review.
  • Maintain and update employee hiring, employment and separation records
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government human resource reporting requirements
  • Manage the administration function of information technology systems and material resource planning systems

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job supervises accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory control and reception functions.

  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, costing operations, and inventory is critical. Advanced knowledge of manufacturing systems integration required.
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP principles, and state and federal tax laws.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate in writing, presenting, negotiating and sharing information; providing technical financial advice and knowledge to others with a broad operational focus.
  • Proficiency with Quick Books, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.  Advanced proficiency in Excel required. Competency with and understanding of accounting systems.  Experience with GLOBAL SHOP MRP System preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and attention to detail required. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and operate with high standards of integrity.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, improving, and documenting policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated judgment, analytical, and problem solving skills required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing payroll, 401K, MRP and IT coordination preferred.
  • The ability to lead, execute, collaborate, communicate, and have a strategic vision while also managing tactical responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • BS degree in Accounting required. Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Management experience preferred. Prior experience as a Controller preferred 
  • 5-10+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing setting. Exposure to Lean Manufacturing a plus.
