Medical Receptionist

Pay: $17-20/hr
Schedule: 
M, T, TH 8-7pm
W 8-5
F 8-4
Sat 8:30-12 rotates with Robinson office

Position Summary:
The Medical Receptionist shall greet patients, verify patient information and provide support to patients and medical staff.  To uphold high standards of customer service, efficiency of patient flow and emphasis on collection of co-payments, fees for service and outstanding amounts due on accounts.

Responsibilities:
-Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication that is clear and well-organized
-Team player
– Positive work ethic, caring and friendly
-Efficient with time and completion of tasks
-Maintain a clean, organized work environment
– Provide an efficient patient flow 
– Greeting patients in office
– Checking patients in and out
– Verifying patient information and insurance
 -Scheduling and confirming appointments
– Collection of co-payments, current balances due and old collection balance
– Phone messages to medical staff
– Handling mail and fax correspondence
– Scanning, copying and shredding of patient information
– End of day balance of cash, checks and credit
– Referral and prior authorization completion

Qualifications:
-Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
-Knowledge of basic computer software and the ability to learn electronic medical records
-Communicates well with patients and medical staff
-Ability to follow OSHA/HIPAA guidelines
-Knowledge of referrals and prior authorizations
-Ability to use a multi-line phone system
-Prior experience in a medical office setting or 6 months as a Front Office Assistant
…Pay Statement and Pay Transparency Laws: rate of pay listed is on a per hour basis. You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
