Accounting Manager
Location:
Hingham, MA
Hours:
- Monday- Friday 8:00aam – 5:00pm
Position Duties:
- Lead and manage the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Draft monthly budget vs. actual reporting for departments, grants, pledges and projects.
- Workpapers and Documentation:
- Maintain and update detailed workpapers to support financial statements and audits.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Grant/Pledge Compliance and Reporting:
- Oversee the compliance of grant and pledge reporting, ensuring funds are used in accordance with agreements.
- Prepare and submit required financial reports to grantors and advancement team in a timely manner.
- Accounts Payable and Cash Management
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles.
- Experience with grant compliance and project accounting is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Pay Rate:
- $40-48/ Hour depending on experience
