Physician Assistant – Orthopedic Surgery
Salary: $120,000 – $140,000
Schedule: Full-time, Mon-Fri
Location: Split between outpatient clinic and OR settings (NYC & Westchester)

We’re working with a prominent orthopedic surgery team seeking a Physician Assistant to join their joint reconstruction practice. This is a full-time position offering a mix of clinic and operating room exposure. The PA will support a high-volume surgeon focused on hip and knee procedures and work closely with a collaborative clinical team.


Position Highlights

  • Mix of outpatient and OR responsibilities

  • Two operating days per week

  • Exposure to advanced joint reconstruction procedures

  • Opportunity to participate in teaching content creation (e.g. surgical videos)


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and document patient histories and physical exams

  • Coordinate and update treatment plans in collaboration with the surgeon

  • Review diagnostic imaging and labs; communicate findings

  • Provide pre- and post-operative patient education

  • Perform therapeutic injections and minor procedures

  • Handle patient phone triage, prescription requests, and care coordination

  • Assist in surgery, including positioning, instrumentation, and workflow support

  • Maintain surgical logs and assist with insurance/disability documentation

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including residents and fellows

  • Support occasional rounding and cross-coverage with other teams

  • Participate in system training (e.g. EPIC) and other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Required:

  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program

  • Active NY PA license

  • BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred:

  • Experience in orthopedic surgery or surgical specialties

  • Master’s degree

  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
