We have partnered with a recently renovated 101 unit affordable housing complex in Freeport that is looking for a Property Manager for an extended contract (6 months)
The company needs someone with a strong LIHTC background and have worked with RealPage.
Pay range: $32-36/hour with a schedule of 8am – 5pm Mon-Fri
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations and management of residential properties
- Manage tenant relations, including addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring tenant satisfaction
- Coordinate and oversee property maintenance and repairs, including scheduling and supervising contractors
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards
- Develop and implement leasing strategies to attract and retain tenants
- Advertise available properties, conduct property showings, and process rental applications
- Negotiate lease agreements and enforce lease terms
- Collect rent payments and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Prepare monthly financial reports and budgets for property owners
- Stay updated on local rental market trends and regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Property Manager or similar role
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations is a plus
- Understanding of property leasing processes and strategies, including upselling techniques
- Familiarity with contract law and property management principles
- Excellent customer relationship management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
