Location: Highland Heights, OH (Cleveland area)
Compensation: $110,000 – $115,000 base + 10% bonus

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager with strong experience in industrial furnaces and heat treating equipment. This individual will oversee maintenance operations across two plants, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards. The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of technicians, implement preventative maintenance programs, and play a key role in driving plant efficiency and uptime.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a heavy industrial environment, reporting directly to the General Manager.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring all work is completed safely and on schedule.

  • Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance for furnaces, hydraulics, and other plant equipment.

  • Direct installation of new equipment and coordinate systematic, timely maintenance throughout the facility.

  • Manage calibration and temperature surveys for heat treating equipment.

  • Train and develop maintenance staff, delegating work and ensuring high-quality performance.

  • Oversee purchasing and approval of materials, tooling, and supplies.

  • Support troubleshooting and corrective actions for equipment issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, modifications, and repairs.

  • Recommend improvements to increase efficiency, safety, and reliability.


Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR compliance required).

  • College or technical degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred; high school diploma plus 5+ years industrial maintenance required.

  • Advanced training in electrical systems and strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Hands-on experience with furnaces/heat treating equipment is required.

  • Proficiency in welding, cutting, brazing, and knowledge of hydraulics.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience supervising maintenance staff.

  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and on-call as needed.

  • Must be able to work in industrial environments (heat, noise, confined spaces, heights) and lift up to 35 lbs.
