Community health clinic looking for contract nurse.
All specialties but primary peds and OB.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9AM-5PM, occasionally 9:30AM-5:30PM
Requirements:
- 1+ year of nursing experience
- Comfortable working in OB/Peds departments
- Active New York State RN or LPN License
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school/program
- BLS Certification
- Strong vaccination experience required
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- EMR experience – practice uses Athena
- Bilingual is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Review medical charts
- Assist physicians and other providers with exams and treatments
- Provide wound care
- Administer medications
- Plan and manage patient care according to each patient’s needs
- Obtain patient vital signs including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration
- Prepare and administer injections
- Prepare and administer enemas
- Perform phlebotomy
- Provider patient and family teaching and discharge instructions
