Senior Group Sales Manager

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with prospective clients, industry influencers, and strategic partners.

  • Support property revenue and cultural objectives with integrity and professionalism.

  • Leverage existing relationships to introduce new business opportunities to the hotel.

  • Identify and pursue new leads through proactive prospecting, sales calls, trade shows, industry events, and familiarization trips.

  • Respond promptly to inquiries and nurture long-term client relationships through personalized service and consistent communication.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor positioning, and economic factors to strategically sell against the competition.

  • Maintain expert knowledge of hotel venues, amenities, and services, providing tailored recommendations that elevate each guest experience.

  • Prepare detailed proposals, draft contracts, and manage all follow-up communications to ensure accuracy and satisfaction.

  • Track and record all sales activity, including appointments, calls, and leads, in a timely and organized manner.

  • Collaborate with broader sales teams to expand business opportunities and strengthen brand presence.

  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity to go beyond expectations, fostering guest loyalty and setting the property apart from competitors.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of hotel sales and marketing experience, preferably in a leadership capacity.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven success in major urban markets; Boston experience preferred.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment.

  • Highly organized with exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
