Hiring for a Medical Assistant in Chicago, IL

Pay rate: $22-25/hr based on experience 
Schedule: M/W/Th/F 8AM-5PM; Tuesday 8AM-8:30PM; Saturday 8AM-1PM. This will be rotating weekends. Will be scheduled for 40 hours total per week.
1 hour lunch break – 30 minutes of it is paid 

MUST have experienc with: vaccines, point of care testing, procedure set ups, Inventory, VFC coordination and sterilization

Requirements: 

  • CMA Certification (National) within 90 days
  • MUST have a Medical Assistant diploma or certificate from school
  • 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
  • Looking for skilled MA’s

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, completion of an accredited MA program
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in clinical procedures, patient care, and administrative tasks
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as required

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient intake, including vital signs, medical history, and documentation of chief complaints, adapting care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Perform routine diagnostic tests, including EKGs, and assist with minor office procedures
  • Administer medications as prescribed (excluding Schedule II medications), and perform tasks such as changing dressings and removing sutures with competency
  • Engage in patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention under supervision, incorporating cultural and population-specific diversity needs
  • Ensure clinic environment safety and cleanliness, adhering to safety standards
  • Efficiently manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, managing supplies, and maintaining equipment
  • Demonstrate adaptability in providing age-appropriate and population-specific care
  • Participate in community health initiatives, reflecting company’s mission to Advocate, Care, Teach, and Serve, with a focus on vulnerable populations
  • Perform CPR as necessary and ensure accurate, legible documentation of all care and services provided
  • Other duties as assigned
