Salary Range: $130,000 – $140,000 based on experience 


Overview

A leading orthopedic group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join their Surgery team. This outpatient-based position focuses on providing high-quality care to patients before and after surgery (NO OR). The NP will work collaboratively within a team of surgeons, residents, and clinical staff across multiple local practice locations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage orthopedic patients in both pre- and post-operative settings.

  • Collaborate closely with attending surgeons, residents, nurses, and allied health professionals.

  • Conduct chart preparation, order imaging, and manage patient documentation in the EMR.

  • Coordinate pre-operative optimization and post-operative care plans.

  • Perform wound checks, remove sutures/staples, and manage recovery follow-ups.

  • Prescribe medications and injections, and monitor patient outcomes.

  • Provide patient education regarding procedures, recovery, and ongoing care.

  • Manage patient communication, prescription requests, and follow-up documentation.

  • Assist with forms, insurance documentation, and patient correspondence as needed.

  • Participate in developing patient care protocols and clinical research initiatives.

  • Serve as a mentor to new or student NPs within the program.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing

  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure (FNP)

  • Active RN and NP licenses in applicable states

  • National certification and DEA registration

Preferred:

  • Prior orthopedic or surgical experience

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
